Founder & Creative Director
Elaine comes from a family of writers and is passionate about bringing stories and experiences to life. She is a First Grade teacher, inspiring a love of reading / writing in her learners. Her first book, Lessons Learned in a Primary Classroom, shares personal experience and guidance to navigate everyday challenges in the classroom. Her latest project 'Kiddie & the Major' is the story of her well known grandparents in 1920's New York.Elaine lives in Missouri with her husband, Joe and dog, Winnie, and enjoys being active, gardening, and sharing a bottle of wine with friends when she’s not working on her next project. 
Hannah Greaves
VP of Operations
As VP of Operations, Hannah is a jack of all trades providing collaborative support and project management oversight for all creative projects. A curious culture vulture, she strives to engage and connect readers through various social channels and events. Hannah is also the creator and editor of the Life in Rouge—a blog inspired by editorial fashion and everyday style, curated from her home in Washington D.C alongside her King Charles Cavalier pup, Jackie. Gracie Strawn
Creative Consultant & Marketing Manager
With a background in branding, content marketing, and screenwriting Gracie acts as a creative campaign leader and consultant. Alongside Off & Running branding, marketing, and creative insight, Gracie is the producer and writer for Girls Gone Mild web series and the Founder of breast cancer comedy fundraiser, ‘HAHAs for TATAs’. As a young television / film creator, she eagerly looks for new writers and unique content with a strong story.Heading the Los Angeles network, you can find her behind the scenes of our Off & Running social media accounts as well! 
What’s In A Name?
The name 'Off & Running' was inspired by Bill Corum's autobiography title of the same name. The biological grandfather of OR’s founder Elaine Strawn, was a well known journalist, sports announcer, and notable decade long president of Churchill Downs, coining the phrase ‘Run for the Roses’. Off & Running aims to continue the family literary legacy as well as onboard and publish new and rising authors looking to share a unique story. Kicking off with Elaine Strawn’s first novel 'Kiddie in the Major', the historical fiction follows Bill Corum, and his wife Kiddie. The book features the couple's lives during the 1920s and is inspired by Bill Corum's autobiography, private letters and diaries, and history herself.
